These dangly aquamarine earrings are oh so pretty.
 
Each pair is handmade in my Somerset studio using chunky natural aquamarines, a pair of contemporary sterling silver shepherds crook-style earwires, and lengths of recycled sterling silver trace chain.
 
The aquamarine nuggets are a lovely quality and each stone is approximately 6mm x 11mm in size - they are beautifully cut, making each stone unique, and are a lovely shade of baby blue.
 
Aquamarine, named from the Latin word meaning 'water of the sea', is a gemstone-quality transparent variety of beryl - it has a delicate blue or blue-green colour, suggestive of the tint of sea-water. 
 
The earrings are lightweight and comfortable, and are perfect for dressing up or down due to their subtle yet playful nature - they'd really suit any occasion.
