This shaded aquamarine fringe necklace is just gorgeous.
 
Each necklace is handmade in my Somerset studio using seven natural micro-faceted round aquamarine beads and a classic 18in (45cm) sterling silver trace chain, finished with a bolt ring clasp and jump ring.

The superior-quality semi-precious 3mm aquamarine beads are Grade AA quality in shaded blue colours - they are beautifully cut to make them extremely sparkly.
 
Aquamarine, named from the Latin word meaning 'water of the sea', is a gemstone-quality transparent variety of beryl - it has a delicate blue or blue-green colour, suggestive of the tint of sea-water. 
 
Lightweight and comfortable, it is a beautifully classic necklace and is perfect for dressing up or down as it would suit any occasion.
